私はとても元気だよ。。！先週休みだったから。。いっぱい楽しいことをした。

Had a good 1 week break....! (^_^)

Had fun with my bimbo bestie.. doing nails & all sort of girly stuff.. <3

Bought a super nice dress.. (cant wait to wear it.. whose wedding next?!)

Chilled at Dempsey House with world's bestest colleagues...

JLPT3 is over! a load over the shoulders! Whee~~!!
This year's paper was pretty tough ne... I was going.. "oh crap...." at the vocabulary paper.
Listening was surprisingly easy... Phew~ but then the grammar was like another shock. I just went with what sounded right...
comprehension was fairly easy as well... (>_<)
Let me passsss.....

Was at Comtech on monday for work and had to be a phone operator for a day. The headset was messing up my hair... hee..
Made some friends there & had an enjoyable lunch... so it felt great :D
Just dont ask me to go back again.......... pls no..

Saturday had been a long day. Duty in the morning.. ( I got to eat the famous-always-sold-out 猪脚米粉 thanks to Shifu AKA Sam ) class in the afternoon and then KittyLab followed by MahJong.

Stole sometime inbetween to study at Starbucks...
It feels good to be alone sometimes.. sipping coffee, listening to ur fav music.

Basically KittyLab was about creating your own Hello Kitty..
We had to go to different stations to modfiy our kittys. Provided you can win the game at each station.

I lost one of the minigames at the "Travel Agency" and my Kitty ended up with a moustache!!
Depressing.. it was so cute with her chamber maid costume, butterfly ribbon and all... of all things i had to lose and get a moustache! wait.. there's a goatee with the moustache too. (-_-)....

I was on a roll during MahJong yesterday. Won big bucks.. hoho.. It feels good to be lucky.

ZZzzZz... Feeling kinda drowsy & Nua from the Mahjong (MJ) session yesterday nite.

Weekend started.. Friday... met Bimbo Charz & her friends for MJ at her Lyndhurst "mansion". Made a new friend.. Hi Jacequline! Bimbim Charz's niece was also around. She is one amusing kid. She said i look like a Princess from a KINGDOM. Lol.. that got me flattered for a bit. She tried to take pictures of me with her BB. She is 8 yrs old. yeaaaaa~~ BB. 8 yrs old.

It was a friendly game.. got home at 3am, springed up the next morning, Saturday.. 10am to rush my Jap homework. Yea.. i literally jumped straight from my bed to the study table. I took 2hrs to finish em' papers and rushed off to class.

JLPT3 prep course's really tough :( every one was whining none stop. Can't believe next year im going to Pre-Advanced course! And if i actually pass the placement test, i can skip one entire year & go Advance straight. OOooh God... please let me pass it. I can not only save a year but also 1200bucks!

I hope I get to take the JLPT2 exam next year.. If not, will have to wait for another year, enroll in a one year JLPT2 prep course, which is demoralizing. But then again.. I think I'm getting too ambitious, rushing things. Not like i've been anywhere near diligent!

Class ended at 4pm.. wish i could hang out with my classmates more.. but had to rush to meet B & C... my sisters from church :) went Geylang again to have seafood yummy! and then to siglap for dessert.. was getting engrossed with our conversation.. and then my 'marder' came to pick me for MJ at niko's place. And off i went again! That MJ session lasted till almost 6am. Geeeeeee~~~!

Sunday... I'm so glad I can 'nua' at home today... to the dismay of my mom who's been asking me to resume my weekly church services. I'm sure Daddy God isn't mad at me. I still lub Him deep deep. I'm just lazy. Haha..

I havent taken much photos lately.. going to read ViVi & Black bird book 8 now. Yes, book 8 is out!!! I was jumping around Kinokuniya with it in my armsss... finally....

Book 8 has this sticker 'unsuitable for the young' on it.. i wonder if anything 劲爆 is going to happen. haha..

Did Lasik as scheduled.. :) Have been recovering at home for the past few days.
Sometimes it can get a tad boring being home alone. But then.. Anything beats working!! I actually miss my colleagues. BUT not the work. Hahaa...

Celebrated Mid Autumn Festival yesterday at mi friend's house.
There were dimsum, mooncakes, lanterns and of course mahjong~*

Can't believe I won $$ yesterday. A grand total of 43 bucks.
I actually 'zi mo' like 4 times yesterday... got so lucky ma?! Positive thinking actually help eh.... I couldn't believe my own luck too.
I think I'm getting better at this hahaha.. but no chance of getting me addicted. I think it's too time consuming to spend hours on Mahjong. I don't mind playing an hour or 2.
And that explains why the rest of the night was spent on watching I AM LEGEND while the rest of the tables carried on.
But I soon regretted after i remembered even though i got a ride home, i still need to travel up to my apartment alone.
U know how imaginations always go wild.......
I thought the movie was great btw.

Lasik

I'm having a slight headache.. yea.. a headache. something that seldom happens to me.
Usually I just get dizzy spells and puke. A headache is something rare.

I think I must have been worrying & thinking too much.
But sometimes I find myself being too spontaneous to the state of being rash.
Normally I don't really like to think..... haha.. do first then say.

Did the long awaited Pre-Lasik Surgery Assessment today @ Shinagawa Lasik Centre at Wheellock.
For those interested on the procedure, let me tell you all about it!

The check-up took around 2 Hours. They check on the size of your pupils, your cornea's thickness,curvature, health.. etc.
The tests were simple. Mostly like, look at this bright light kinda thing.
You will be watching a video on Lasik.. which didnt really helped much. And then they will be dillating your pupils with some eyedrops.
It's numbing and your eyes feel kinda paralyzed after. Hahaha.. ok not so bad. There was this point where the examiner put this thing ON my eyeball to check on it's curvature. I could feel the whole thing.... but it's not so bad as I'm a contact lens user, I get fingers on my eye all the time. Later did I know I was not supposed to feel a thing! After which, the examiner put more eyedrops.

Dry Eyes, Seeing Halos, Regression could happen after Lasik. Pleaseeeee not the last one!!!
I was told after the examination that my cornea is slightly flat. - meaning I can't wear Contact Lens after surgery.
However my cornea thickness is thicker than average, so I can actually go back for Enhancement.

Lasik can treat Myophia, Astigmatism, and far-sightedness. The nurse told me it can all be treated in one shot of the laser. Like wow. Sounds powerful.

Lastly, wanna say I'm really grateful for all the people who've offered to accompany me for the surgery! Like.. really touched. My mom's not giving it much thought though. She was just like "remember to Pray". And I was like yups....

So people please pray for me!! And pray to no one else but lovely Jesus. Hahaa.. I pray for the surgery's accuracy and no side effects. Certainly no regression!! AMEN!

元気？

Got my Japanese Language Intermediate Course Certificate from IKOMA yesterday.
(that's a mouthful)

Yay!!!!!

Seriously I have been slacking so much recently pertaining to Japanese.
My homework's been constantly late and I haven't been memorizing all the new vocabs.
I am such a slacker!! I seriously need to pull up those socks and prepare for JLPT3 commencing on 6th Dec.

I know if I couldn't pass, it will be devastating....So... i signed up for JLPT3 prep course. I hear the fluttering wings of $$ flying away.

Was getting quite exasperated in class yesterday too. Well one thing, I missed last week's lesson as I was away in Korea. Another was I haven't been doing my homework.

When we had to learn the RESPECTFUL equivalent & HUMBLE equivalent of verbs yesterday, I cracked.
It's not easy remembering those verbs in the first place! now there's Respectful & Humble equivalent.

I heard my brains doing summersaults.

Been thinking of taking finanical papers too. All my RMs are so supportive! Thanks guys... I think I shall register in January 2010.
Cause there's been just too much going on recently.

Am just unpacking my luggage today from korea. Yeayea.. it's been a week i know but hey, I just couldn't get myself to do anything this particular week. I've just been slacking since I'm back. And I get pissed at people trying to disturb my slack mode.

By request, I'm posting some pictures of my stash from Korea. Hohoho. It's not all of it... some have been neatly packed away and I'm lazy to take them out and some been given out as pressies.

I bought a total of around 60 facial masks.. haha I think they can last me for at least 2 years.

Only got 2 pairs of shoes.

Bought the whole range of romantic makeup holders + hair brushes & comb from Etude House.
There's even a stand-up mirror which I didnt take picture of :)

Recently fate brought me to Super Junior *drama drama* and since then I've been addicted to "sorry sorry" their hit which has been my earworm for like... a week.
check out the dance moves! some parts are cheesy some parts are actually very cool.
I love it in it's totality. And isn't Donghae cute? He's the one in vest (0.20) my new eye candy. Lol.

The anxiety is killing me cause I'm actually kinda worried. And I'm gonna miss my brown contacts.

Visited The Arts House yesterday for the Dead Sea Scrolls & the Ancient Time Exhibition.

It was an interesting journey. Most of the exhibition was on the evolution of the Bible.
And how the Old Testament found on the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls matches what was in-print with today's Bible perfectly.
How the word of God was being passed down with such accuracy.

Have you ever wondered who translated the first English Bible? If you haven't known, the original Bible was in Hebrew (Old testament) & Greek (New testament). The man who translated the first English Bible is William Tyndale! But he got errr.. sadly strangled and burnt at the stake for his work because it was illegal to translate the Bible to English at that time. The Queen prefers it in Latin~~ (stupid queen). In translating the Bible, he also invented new words to the English language, which William Shakespear was known to quote. Amazing huh?

Thanks William... I think I need to treasure my English Bible more. Someone died for me to read it in English!!

And then there was the Geneva Bible, and the King James Bible.

I saw King James Bible in it's original first edition, from 1611. Well in short, King James finally authorized the English Bible, but it has to be HIS version. But no worries on it's accuracy cause 47 translators were engaged for the job.

Amazing stuff ! :) So people treasure your Bibles more! It has come so easily to us that we took it for granted.

こにちわ！　私PHUKETから帰った！

I had a really fun timein Phuket!

It was a really much needed break & I'm glad I get to go with these wonderful colleagues.

Check out our awesome Villa!

The Villa comprises of 5 storeys & was simply magnificent! Fully equiped with a Jacuzzi bathtub, a small open concept Kitchen, state of the art technologies and exotic bathroom designs. Hohoho..

And did I mention about the private pool? Love it!

Splassssh~~~~~!

The rest of the trip was filled with spreads of delicious Thai Food (yesss very tastey indeed! I miss the food!) & water adventures... :)

We travelled to little islands in Phuket via Speedboat. Very fun!

Island hopping : at James Bond Island.

Canoeing!

The highlight of the whole trip... because halfway through canoeing, we swam through this dark & narrow hole to a lagoon on the other side! The scene that greeted us on the other end was magical and unreal.

The lagoon was still.. very calm and serene. The sunlight shone on the cliff.. and the light reflected off the rocks, glittering and shimmering. It was indeed a sight to behold.. I took a few mins taking in the whole wonder of it all.

Only 4 of us girls (+ 2 guides) went into the lagoon. so it's a little secret experience we shared. We had to rest by holding onto the rocks in the lagoon.

Thinking back, it's kinda dangerous should anyone lose our stamina.. & I got a little scared of what could have been in the water.

We had a beach stop-over on an island.. and we had fun chilling and soaking in the sea & sun...

Our 2nd Trip was to Phi Phi Island. - The place where The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot.

The water was extremely clear and we could see the rocks on the sea bed. This is where the speedboat pulled over for a liitle snorkeling. Did I tell you I hate fishes?? But the motion-sickness prone me couldn't stand a stationary boat. So I had to make the plunge...

Snorkeling was no fun! Especially when there's hungry fishes swarming you & I didn't like the mask covering my nose :( When I surfaced from the water, I had the natural tendency to breath through my nose. And not being able to do that felt like crisis.

I much prefer Monkeys. :)

We stopped over at one of the PhiPhi island for our lunch and we did a little walking around. (reiterate.. i love Thai food! yummilicious!!)

We had blended milk tea.. shiok!

Beach Stop!

I took to snorkeling again with my friends...

And soon regretted the feeling of having the snorkel mask on. So I went on-shore for a little sun.

Back on Mainland Phuket, we did some walking around during the 3 days and who will miss the famous (infamous?) Patong beach + Bangla Street.

We had Banana Nutella Pancake... <3

At Tesco Supermarket.. stocking our Villa.. HoHoHo...

Dinner at the Natural Restaurant. Very nicely Tree house and Vintage themed.

We had Italian on our last night... as some had an overdose of Seafood & Tom Yam Gong..

Then it was off to Foot + Thai Massage. I heard my bones cracking...

The Phuket TukTuk is so different from Bangkok's!

Saying bye to our Villa & housekeeper - Noi, who I like to term as our Butler. Haha...

I really had a good time in Phuket & loved the company of mi wonderful girls !

Let's do it again!!

最近、私。。いろいろなことを考えた。。仕事とか、恋とか、家族とか。。。。

今の私。。まだたくさん知らないですね。。。。　たくさん習いたい～！銀行のことも。。もっと知りたい！！

私今の給料まだ少ないです。。強くなりたい～！強くなれば。。。給料もきっと上がらない？今の私まだ24歳だけです。。。頑張れます！！

たぶん最近ずっとお金もちの同僚一緒に遊んだから。。。自分もお金もちになりたいです！ふふふ～～　（＾＿＾）

Or rather.. I guess I'm just not suited for bangs.

I didn't think it was THAT bad at first... hahaa.. but I guess after awhile.. I realize I shouldn't have "tried" it afterall.

That aside, had Kushin-Bo dinner on Friday. Thanks Garang for the (birthday) treat! It was superblicious!! heehee. The last time i went Kushin-Bo was eons ago! No pictures as our fingers were all busy whacking the crab legs.

Saturday's class was fun as usual. I'm so glad our Sensei is so cute & fun-loving. If it had been anyone else, I guess my Japanese studies could very well been cut short.

Played Mario Kart @ the arcade (again). I can't help laughing at Luigi's nose & Mustache. So cute right!

Time Crisis 4 was fun..! Anybody has got it on Wii?

Wishing my fringe will grow out soon.. so that I will not be laughed at anymore!! :S

Tried out Etude's double eye-lid tapes!!

Aren't these amazing?!! I lurve how natural it looks!
Trust me..I've tried Eyetalk glue & all sorta tapes, and this is by far the best!

I guess my obsession for Make-up is getting worse...!
I just keep getting new ones without even finishing the old! There's still so many that I bought from Japan that are still in their packaging! The irony is I don't even put much make-up during work. Hahaha.. but they are a lot of fun on the weekends :)

Minna minna~! I had a wonderful birthday this year~
(^_^) but I'm kinda lazy to blog. So I'll keep it brief!!

Birthday Surprise @ East Ocean was really unexpected & I was really very pleasantly surprised! Really Thank God for all my wonderful colleagues & friends. We had a sumptuous meal as usual........ I still heart the custard bun the most!

My bday gift from my colleagues is a Canon Ixus 100 IS in red! Sugoi~!
I always tot Canon Ixus takes better indoor shots than my current Sony Cybershot. But Cybershot take greats outdoor photos! Dilemma... now what should i do with these babies.. I guess I will bring the one that suit my dressing that day. HAHA omg. so bimbo sounding.

Went to Night Safari with Shihan & Alwin on my bday itself... it was a fun experience hee...

We caught the 2am show for Ice Age3 on the same day. And it was the first time i fell asleep in the theatres! I was drifting in and out of slumberland~ haha but yea i got like 80% of the show :)

Recently I got really into reading this manga : ブラックバード; 黑鸟恋人;BLACK BIRD.

I used to laugh at it's suggestive covers whenever I see it at Kinokuniya. I even saw it in the bookstores when I was in Tokyo last year!(yes, I was also laughing at it then.)
But now I know what it means to Not Judge a Book by it's Cover. - like literally!!
It's awesome! the storyline keeps me on my toes all the time...! And the romance inside, just raised my already very unrealistic standard for a boyfriend to an all-time high! I'm never gonna get married now :( soooobbbz*

After raving it to Shihan, I got 'em for my Birthday Present!! Hahaa... Thanks hanny senpai~~!! Was really happy to receive it. Heart this series. I've got to collect the missing volumes that are out of stock though. Already made arrangements with Kinokuniya for that. Happieee..~

I finished watching Kuroshitsuji~!
すてきなアニメです!

I stopped watching it for awhile due to the other dramas that were competing for my time.

I started watching Kuroshitsuji again this afternoon and I could not stop..! It was getting so exciting...!
And I simply love the drawings. I'm real particular about how the characters are drawn when it comes to anime. I cannot stand ugly drawings with little details and simple strokes. Yuck.. But Kuroshitsuji's drawings' just wonderful..~

I love how the characters are drawn..~ the details given to the clothes they wear, the furniture, etc etc. I actually reallie like what Ciel Phantom wears hahaa.. victorian, english... very beautiful. :) the tall hats & tail coats, the ribbons & laces, the layers & prints ..etc etc. They are all so appealing to me!

The story gets darker and darker towards the end... but I love it that way. Something sad , something eerie, something lost, something wasted. The melancholy that surrounds it all.... love~

Does that make me a 'S' ?

Everytime i hear "Lacrimosa" now it just sends chills down my spine.

Having said that, I really enjoyed the anime~~ :)

Fleeting Weekend

Minna~ Tomorrow is yet another monday. Why do I dread going to work so much. Hmmm.

Weekend was fun as usual. Just simply chilling by Starbucks can make me really happy. Had a desperate need to watch some comedy to relieve myself. Caught Night at the Museum 2 with Han.. and I laughed till i literally cried at one point! Hahaa.. learned something from it too. The key to happiness is doing the things you love, with the one you love....(?) Easy to say.. but I'm sure few in life will manage to accomplish that. I once heard another saying that happiness is not in having what you want, but wanting what you've got. (^o^)

Today I was supposed to go to church with an ex-colleague. We're both from the same church but we have never made an effort to go together. Something cropped up and I had to go to the bank with my mom. Yea.. if Citibank is the bank that never sleeps... Then I guess OCBC is like.. the bank that doesn't even wink? They open on Sundays till 7pm! Like.. wow.

Anyway after that was settled, we did a little grocery shopping which I love... and made my mom make Tom Yum Soup for me. Hahahaa my favourite!

I finally managed to get my hands on Vampire Knight DS & Ouran KouKou Hosto Bu DS games!!! I was so lazy to get them but I finally did. Those 2 are like my favourite animes..........! Aaaahhhh.... Kiss Kiss Fall in love~ ♪ ☆★☆

Vampire Knight was really hard to understand. Too many Kanji so I could only catch abit here and there. So far I think it went well as Zero smiled sweetly at me. Phew~ Time to seduce Kaname.

Ouran Koukou was much easier to understand and light-hearted! Love the sound of violin & classical music playing in the background, resonating the sound of elegance...~~ WeeeTamaki senpai~

Lastly to end off the weekend, I'm going to eat durians and sweet&sour onion chips. Believe me, the combi is great. Heehee..

Am super in love with Chikako Watanabe from ViVi. Lub her since day One I got my first copy of ViVi. Think that was the edition for April2008.

She's so prweeetty and cool. Love her style which is more cool and less girly.

She got the same bday DDMMYY as my bestie friend. Haha..

Thanks to Steph-san, I managed to see Chikako on 女人我最大! It's really sugoi to see her on screen.

I was fascinated by the fact she uses a blend of 10 different coffee colours for her eye-shadow.
She never uses any black eye liner..cause she feels it's too strong & unnatural. It's high time I change all of mine to brown!

Tried the volumnizing powder I bought last week today!

The texture of the powder felt weird. It's like "holding" static on your palms. Eeew. Funny feeling. The powder stuck to the hair once it touches and caused a lot of friction. It was hard to move my fingers away from my hair & I had to use soap to wash them off my palms. I think it works though. Used too little today.

Got the July copy of ViVi. Thanks Steph san again for the kino 20% discount. Heehee.. I bought this storage thingy from MUJI to keep my copies of magazines. Mostly Seventeen & ViVi. But I must be mad cause it's certainly too small to contain them!! There's still tons in my cardboard that I did not put in.

Time check 12:16AM.

Went to watch STAR TREK today! this is the first Star Trek anything that I've ever watched. I've heard about it's popularity and all.. But wow this is good.

The Volcans is such an interesting race! and gosh I love smart people. How come I'm not born genius!! maybe I was but I just didnt work hard enough.. but that's besides the point.

(oh oh one thing I observed... when Spock ran, his bangs stayed intact O_o impressive! how girls wish our bangs could have been as managable! haha..)

The spaceship battles were exciting too... all em' laser beams.. *tiu tiu tiu~~ cool~! ~! and em' little spaceships... kawaii..~

I feel like a wide-eyed kid. Love the show~!

Want to watch again..!

Ps. Kirk's dad was hawt..! He got too little air time though!! googled him.. Chris Hemsworth 1983. Teeheehee..
